The DTR Precision 2nd generation Picatinny Rail Vise Block is an innovative and simple tool designed for regular maintenance such as cleaning, inspection, and "low load/low impact" type armorers/gunsmithing work on the AR platform rifles. It’s a ready to use, simple snap on and off design for any picatinny rail interface, utilizing any standard bench vise. The DTR Precision Picatinny Rail Vise Block provides a safe and secure hold within the bench vise jaws. By mounting the vise block onto your upper picatinny rail, you can position your upper receiver in a more desirable position for cleaning and inspecting the chamber or barrel. The DTR Precision Picatinny Rail Vise Block is constructed of durable nylon that is resistant to chemicals, cleaners, and solvents with a non-marring contact surface. This vise block is not limited to only the AR platform rifles. It is also compatible with any other firearm or part that has a picatinny rail interface.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

* SAFE firearm handling is YOUR personal responsibility at all times. BE sure firearm is UNLOADED before using this vise block.

* Not intended for "high load" gunsmithing work such as tightening a barrel nut. The main use of this vise block is for cleaning purposes, such as using cleaning rods, bore brushes, patches, wiping, applying oils/grease etc...

* For use only with a securely mounted bench vise

* Never use this vise block with smooth surfaced bench vise jaws.

* BEFORE using the sliding spacer MUST be in the DOWN position as shown below (Fig.1). Failure to do so will result in improper clamping.The sliding spacer's UP postion is for storing purposes only while the vise block is not in use.

* To ensure proper clamping pressure to the picatinny rail in the bench vise jaws, the side ledges of this vise block should ALWAYS be in contact with the bench vise jaws as shown below(Fig.2). Failure to do so will result in improper clamping.
